Thank you for visiting my online portfolio.
I am a Digital Media major and a passionate student of photography. I have taken courses on design, composition, marketing, typography, accounting, and intercultural communication. Many of these courses were technical in nature and taught me how to use certain industry standard programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, DreamWeaver, Final Cut, Lightroom and Joomla.
In the fields of design and communication, my instruction has certainly played a large role in understanding people, how they relate to each other, and how to utilize that knowledge to produce a product that will reach the target audience. Design classes have taught me how to use the Adobe suite of programs. I understand the basics of design and implementation while marketing and public relations classes have introduced me to the different aspects of branding, advertising and the importance of identifying and targeting a specific audience.
My campus activities include: the Pulse, UFTV, Black Student Union, Marketing Club, Intensive English Learning Program (IELP) Tutoring Lab, Conversation Partner Program, Salon Group, Japanese Culture Club and participating in a panel discussion to promote diversity on campus. Interacting with students from different cultures and backgrounds has taught me to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. I have developed an ability to relate to people which, along with an insatiable thirst for knowledge about different cultures, will help me to succeed in the interpersonal areas of photography.
It has come to my attention through a number of tests that this website, especially the Photography section, would be best viewed using the Firefox browser. Firefox may be downloaded from this website free of charge.
